A continuous stepped signal mark is etched once; it stays orthogonal, unframed, and currentColor in interface use.

Signal color roles

Red and amber are scarce because each indicates a live state.

  • Red

    One lead or connector carries the active path; never distribute red as decoration.

  • Amber

    Reserve a small display or indicator for a local instrument state.

  • Black

    Separate anodized metal, rubber, glass, and shadow instead of crushing them together.

  • Counterframe

    Use direct flash once to test blunt service documentation, not tactical drama.
